We prefer using ColorGard Snow Retention over other options on the market. Its unique design allows us to install it on most standing seam roofs without the need to drill it in. We do offer additional types of snow retention to best meet the needs of your project.

What is Snow Retention?
AVALANCHE!!!.. Is the last thing you want to hear when you are at home. Medal roofs as well as other roof types can be tricky. Snow Retention systems are designed to mitigate any potential risk of damage to property or harm to others by creating friction between the roof and the snow load, holding it to the roof.
Snow Retention comes in a variety of products. The most common types of retention are bars/fences or spikes/stops. We prefer bars/ fences as the snow is held back by the bar and does not hinder a need for a strong snow structor to hold in-between spikes.
How much does the service cost?
Depending on the kind of roof, roof pitch, and other factors. Snow Rendition can get expensive. Generally, the steeper pitch the more snow retention is needed to adequately hold snow loads.
Most systems manufactured from S-5! are generally warranted to last the life of the roof. Our Average project runs for $1200-$4000, materials and labor both included. Schedule a bid today to get a quote for your project.

How is the retention installed?
Generally, the ColorGard system is installed with S-5! clamps onto the standing seams of the roof. We may also use SB-90 adhesive when needed if the seam or roof doesn't allow us to attach the system with clamps. On certain corrugated roofs it may be necessary to drill into a supporting roof structure to provide a strong system.
Limited Lifetime Warranty Available
ColorGard® is the only snow retention system to be warranted for the life of the roof! Its unsurpassed holding strength and perfect color-match are guaranteed! We do not default including warranties for the snow retention system as it requires more time and energy to qualify for, and most jobs we complete are small in scale. All warranties are through the manufacturer, S-5!. Clients wishing to receive this limited lifetime warranty may request to do so. We charge $2500 + 8% of the total project value to add this product warranty coverage. Labor Warranty is not included.
